2003 Porsche 911 C4S

This car was sold new by Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley Ca. It was driven in the bay area for from June of 2003 to until April of 2015. I purchased it from the original owner who leased it and then purchased it when the lease was done. This is why the Carfax looks like it is a three owner car.

As a precautionary measure I had the IMS as well as the clutch replaced when I purchased the car. I have also replaced the alternator and the starter in the last 18 months with Porsche parts. The Michelin Pilot Sports are all “N” rated the rears just a few months old with just a couple thousand miles. The fronts were done in May of 2019. The front bumper was resprayed last month correcting some stone chips. The front trunk cover has a small patch of clear coat crazing.

The front passenger seat has a small section of hardened leather where the previous owner may have spilled liquid in the seat and neglected to dry it up promptly. The headlights have been freshly renewed so they look as crystal clear as they did on day one. I replaced both headlight washer nozzles as well as the front air-dam valance. This is showing a little wear but is still in overall good condition. They are made to be easily replaceable.

The car runs and drives like a dream. It is one of those cars that you just want to drive. It rewards you on the limit and doesn’t have any of the downfalls the older cars have. This is my first water-cooled Porsche after having many air-cooled cars. I always resisted these later cars because I figured the wet 911’s just couldn’t match the older cars handling and spirit. Boy was I wrong, this car does all the things a good 911 should including having air conditioning that works. Those of you that have had air-cooled cars know what I am talking about. This generation C4s has the wider 996 Turbo body which gives it wide stance that looks so good.
